  • To develop and evaluate new technologies for the health control in the production of, bovine and caprine semen, oocytes and embryos.
  • To evaluate the influence of nutrition and body status in the reproductive function and production of gametes in animals of zootechnical interest.
  • To identify the factors affecting the obtaining of gametes and developing technological alternatives that provide increase in quantity, quality and preservation of oocytes and spermatozoa, in order to increase the efficiency of their use in production systems, involving different animal species of economic interest.
  • To identify the factors affecting the efficiency of production of embryos and create technologies, systems and models of study that provide an increase in quantity, quality and cryotolerance of embryos produced in vivo and in vitro.
  • To develop and evaluate studies and procedures of micromanipulation of cells and embryos to improve efficiency of cloning.
  • To develop and evaluate different procedures for the production of genetically modified cells and embryos.

  • To use, validate and infer about the efficiency and the impact of new technologies associated with the animal breeding in jobs that involve the identification, selection, preservation, dissemination and exchange of genetic resources.
  • To evaluate, monitor, and validate technologies and products developed by all projects aimed at their integration in the various components production chains and agribusiness sectors.

  • To promote the training of human resources and technology transfer adapted generated and validated within the network for the productive sector.
